thirty two.

hello, good ol' dusty blog. 

how's it been 'round these parts? 

sorry i've been away, but my computer won't let me download anymore pics. 

rude. 

annnnd we've been busy summer fun-havers over here. 

i have so much to tell you about. 

like how we went camping. 

you saw the video, but man do i have a ton of pics.

i know! me! camping!

it was so much fun.

and how we road-tripped to idaho for 10 days.

country roads, take me home.

and how much God is teaching me, even when i'm the stubbornist most stubborn child in all the land.

but first things first, i turned 32 a month ago. gulp. 

stop, i'm owning it.

and my friends spoiled me rotten.

the birthday week started with a concert to our faves, all sons & daughters.

i was a tad hyper. just a tad.

and then there were a whole lot of tears.

i'm fun like that.

but worshipping amongst your best friends will do that to ya.

and then, mrs. cannoli had a lil' swimmin' day for me.

i said no fuss.

but can nat & karis ever have a no fuss get together?

no-oo.

they spoiled me with banners! & cakes! & mini pies in a jar! & sangrias! & so much more.

edie pie even napped half the time we were there.

hallelujah dance!!!!

such a fun day. so blessed by them.

we interrupted the birthday fun-havin with a little ear tube surgery for the edes. she did so well. (well, except for the part where she came off the anesthesia kickin' and screamin' saying, all done! all done! bye bye! bye bye! for a half hour. but as soon as we left, she was like nothing ever happened. shew!) 3 kids down...we're like pros now. ;) hate that they have bad ears (ehem, TIM GENE!), but love that they can hear now for heaven's sake. and how cute is that itty bitty gown?

then, tim whisked me away to palm desert, just him & me.

(side note: we were totally fighting before we left, because i was so uncertain & uneasy about leaving eden after a surgery...and he couldn't get our money back etc., etc., but SO glad we made up & went. making ups the best part of a fight, eh?)

he spoiled me with a massage, a suite (ohh la la), 

and a heck of a lot of pampering without any kids at our ankles. ;) bliss, i tell you.

good, i have one more birthday treat.

we got home for the desert, & karis picked me up for a night on the town.

dude.

all of you locals NEED to go to blackbird tavern.

so hip. and cool. and trendy. and goooood.

i mean, pallet benches? 

fire pits?

deer head on the wall?

i'm in.

we had so much fun. i love laughing with her. i'm so lucky to have a karis in my life.

so 32, what can i say?

you are already a good time.

but i am already plucking some hair off my chin...so you can stop that part.

but otherwise, you can stick around.

thank you Lord for another year of life.
