today.
slept in.
played dress up with eden.
filled the crockpot with some yummy goodness for later.
bike ride to breakfast.
surprised the girls with their scooters at school.
stopped at the liquor store on the ride home for snacks.
took it all in.
the bright, cloud filled sky.
my crazy cute husband with a hello kitty back-back on & a hipster babe at his rear.
my girls.
one in their sweat suit.
the other with a flag taped to her scooter.
their giddy smiles when we pulled them out of school a tad early.
so old all of a sudden.
so pretty. and old.
the third with a sour apple lollipop stuck to her hand & smeared all over her face.
all three girls.
mine.
a husband that adores me.
mine.
a God that tells me he loves me over+over again, even in the midst of my ugly, sinful heart.
through the clouds.
through my girls' smile.
through my baby's laugh.
through my husband's hand in mine.
through my cozy, little home.

today was just what i needed.
i'm so very thankful for this life i've been given.
it's not always perfect.
but today was pretty darn close.
so
very
thankful.


Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
