dreamin' of a new room for a&e.

i've got the itch to redo the girls' room.
they need twin beds. bad.
so obviously, they need all new decor too. duh.

:)

here's what i've been dreaming about:

definitely loving the pallet beds:
kinda like the oh-so-popular one in ashley ann's nursery:

or these beauties found in jennifer johner's playroom:

oh! these two are so pretty! probably my favorite of the bunch.

trendy. stylish. cheap. quirky. fun. perfect for a&e, yes?
tim, you can totally whip two of these up? no? :)

[i'm thinkin' a big ol' chalkboard wall on the back wall.
or maybe wallpaper?
light grey around the rest of the room?
mismatchy vintage quilts.
vintage cluster of frames somewhere.
& letters. yep, lotsa letters.
simple, but with pops of color.]

i know, i'm all over the place.

but here's my inspiration!
(collected from everywhere for months..so, i don't have the sources. shame on me.)
just to make sure you're still paying attention.

now for some extra cash.
oh, & some nice hardwood floors.
so many ideas, such little time.
a mom can dream, right?

thoughts? ideas? favorites?
bring me back down guys. i'll only pout for a minute. maybe two.

hahaha cute ideas...my favorite is the chubby boy eating ice cream!!! he would look great in their room!

i love those beds though! Tim could totally make one! In fact, I bet you could too. The last one looks like you just nail up some wooden fence posts to the end of a bed...easy right??

i know you are so stylish and savy and will do something amazing like always!

I did the exact same thing with nursery ideas for Miles. And for my living room. For anything, really. I just saw the file of pics like that the other day. Did you ever go to houzz.com? That's where I got a lot of my ideas. Your house looks SUPER cute so whatever you do will be adorable and I can't wait to see!!

Next week I'm having a giveaway from a girl on Etsy and her pictures are totally your style and would look great in their room!

holy moly I love all of those!!! I saw those beds the other day and thought that was such a creative idea!

I like the quilts idea. I love the quilt garland as well. The chalboard idea?! PERFECT! I just put one in our dining room. haha!

So fun Molly. I have the "itch" too. I need to finish, or start, all my kid's rooms. It's hard when you have boy/girl twins that share a room. I'm struggling with what I want to do. Cute ideas though. I am sure you will make it look perfect!

LOL......I was wondering what the little chubby kid & ice cream truck was....but come on, LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT>>> it's the pallet beds all the way lady, they're movable, they're recycled and they're just totally cool!! Mama creative you amaze me as always! No matter what you do, you'll take a smidgen of this & a smidgen of that & make it so stylish! Soooooooo good to see you @ The Mill! :)

Um, I'm not with ya on the beds. But looks like I'm the only one. And who cares what I think anyway. :) But as for the rest of the room decor inspiration... I'm with you! In fact I can hand over some of those sources, cause most of those pics are filed in my "kid room idea" folder. :) Love you molly poo!
