it's the little things.

like sunday night dinner at my dad & mom's.
buttery bread. stuffed shells. the people that matter most in the world.

cousins bonding over koi fish.

quick escapes with my husband to the movies on a sunny sunday afternoon.
(too lazy to fix th redeye. it was a scary movie.)

cute, new, chubby hudson cheeks.

a simple song in church where God whispers in my ear,
"I still see you. I'm still here."

a genuine blurry sister hug at the jacuzzi.

a flower. a bee. & a swat guy. practice makes perfect, dontchaknow.
or a hamburger? haaa.

a little girl with a fascinaton for books, in her own imaginary world.

my life is full of little things.
simple things.
little people.
sweet moments. some sour.
hard days. happy days.

days where i wish i could stop time & bottle it up in a jar. save it forever.
other days where i wish i had a do-over card.
days that make sense. days that just don't.

days where i think, what am i doing with my life?
& days where i am gently reminded...oh yeah, this.

this is what matters. these moments, filled with these people.
& God is continuing to stretch me with these & those.
putting people in my path who shape me. encourage me.
make me uncomfortable. make me think. make me pray.
putting me outside this box i've created. he so wants me outside my box.
this world is so big. & i feel so small.
but my God is bigger still.

& the little things matter.
they make up the big things.
the big picture.
the things we can't see.
they strengthen my faith.
this, these & those. i'm still learning.
He is so patient with me.

Jesus, give me an approachable smile. an approachable heart.
a heart of worship for the big & little.
a heart of worship for the these & those.

You have my attention, Lord.

(& this all makes sense in my head...i think) :)

I love the little things. Like crunching leaves under my feet now that they are falling, enjoying a good cup of coffee, snuggling with my husband, enjoying a good crafting day. :-)

Thanks for this post. Isn't it fantastic when God whispers to us in the most unexpected times. ;-)

What a great post girl. I too wish I could bottle up time and have do-over's too.

I adore the pictures!! that sister-hug is the sweetest.

I just LOVE what you said about bottling time and how it's the little things that make up the big picture. How God puts people in our path for different reasons, and how we need to climb out of our box sometimes.

ahhh, seriously, it's like you reached right in and pulled the thoughts from my head and heart and put them in your blog in your own wonderful Molly-way.

love love love. :)

ps. also, you are nifty for having Regina Spektor music on your blog.
