i love newport in june.

& i love the simple pleasures of 2, almost 4 year olds, when they get to stay in a hotel room for the night.
& the mama gets to have some fun too!

i love God's provision over our lives & the simple ways he reminds me to trust him, that he remembers us, that he hasn't forgotten about our struggles. he still cares. he loves us so.

sometimes that reminder comes through audrey's smile when she gets a pink balloon, or the way ellie's face lights up when i break open a pack of glow sticks from the dollar bin at target.

it's the relief in tim's voice when i get to surprise him with some rest for the wkend before his physical agility. knowing & trusting that God knows exactly where tim's supposed to be when it comes to a fire career.

& just for the weekend, tim doesn't have to go one more night without seeing his girls. i love that.

the waves, in all their glory, always remind me of the wonder of God. just how small i am, & how big HE is.

oh, sometimes it's the simple things, & sometimes the extra pleasures in life, that bring me back to God, on my knees, asking him to take me back yet again. thanking him for what's right there in front of me.
asking him to forgive me for always wanting tomorrow instead of today.

the weekend was just what we needed. a little r&r.
blue skies shinin' on me,
nothin' but blue skies do i seeeeeeeeeee :)

p.s. i promise the cell phone pics will stop soon. (wait, no i don't)
i'm just having so much fun with my new phone.
p.p.s. sorry you hafta keep looking at me with my lc braid. it's just so convenient when you're growing out bangs. oy. i bet tim is sick of the braid-do too. oh well. :)

and I love YOU. :)

what a sweet, sweet post. You and your family, your sweet girls, your Tim, your lc braid.... they all make me smile and feel so happy!

I'm rejoicing over here that you had such a wonderful, lovely, and God-reminding-you-of-great-things sort of weekend. It sounds perfect. And this was a great reminder to me, too. It's all too easy to forget how big our God is and how He holds us in His hand NO MATTER WHAT.

I've been praying for you guys as you wait to find out what happens with Tim and his job! How wonderful to thing God already has it all planned out! :)

also, I love the cell phone pics. Bring 'em on. hehe.

I miss you and your sweet cute family! I think you are such a beautiful woman inside and out and a wonderful mommy! You always look good too! You can even pull of gold spandex, so the braid is nothing!

Molly, I request you do every post with these beautiful cell pics. Love them. ps. I have that stripe shirt too. We're twins. pps. I'm with ya on the growing the bangs out thing. Bleh. You've inspired me to try a pretty braid now though instead of the boring everyday bobby pin. Cheers! :)
