audrey: uh-oh, mommy! where'd da turtles go?
me: it's a commercial.
audrey: a tomurshul?
me: when you watch big kid tv, there's breaks called commercials.
audrey: tomurshuls?!
me: yup, the turtles need a break, so they play commercials.
audrey: mom, where'd da turtles go?
[and...repeat above conversation. noggin has destroyed my kids for life.]

me: look audrey, a fire truck's next to us!
audrey: that's not a fire truck, mommy. that's a fire station!
me: no it's not, it's a fire truck!
audrey: no mommy, it's a fire station.
me: (am i really fighting with a 3 year old?) ok, fine. you win.

me: what's this one?
a+e: circle!
me: this one?
a+e: square..triangle..heart..star
me: (i'm gonna get 'em this time..muhahaa) k, what's this one?
ellie: *silence*...triangle?
audrey: no ellie, thatsa octagon!!!!
[noggin, err, nickjr. (i'll never get that right) strikes again.]

ellie: mommy, i jump on my bed? (meaning, can i jump on my bed?)
me: yes mam.
ellie: i not a yes mam! i ellie joooooooy!!
having 3 year olds is so much fun!
