6:30am--wake up call--a&e are oh so tired.
daddy's tired.
mommy's tiiiiiiir-ed. (but her hair stayed semi-ok from the day before. holler!)
7:30am--ready to get this party started (in the cutest lil' mini hospital gowns, i might add)
8am--side by side, ready for surgery (with awesome hats on! they loooved this part!)
ellie had to bring her elephant.
& audrey, her monkey of the minute. duh.
& then, after every single nurse in the surgery center had walked by to see the cute twins,
it was go time.
they got to pick their "flavor" for the gas mask. eek.
they were a little too excited (i don't think they knew what was coming.)
mommy was cool calm & collected nervous. she held it together.
they were wheeled away without any tears-
(more like, "byyyyyye, mommy & daddy! byyyye!!!")
annnnnnd, after.
ellie was a champ.
audrey on the other hand,
well she's workin' on her, "hi, i just came off the anethesia & i'm pretty mad," face.

(this was 30 minutes after the kicking & screaming
& pulling off all her wires. e'rybody say cheeeeeese! banana?)

all in all, it was a good experience.
nice doctors.
good nurses.
fast recovery.
(they said the fluid in their ears was so thick they had to suction it out. my poor babies.)

we're so glad it's over!!!
after a long, good nap, they were back to their old shenanigans,
but this time, they could HEAR!
there's already a world of difference in their speech too.
they have a long way to go, but it's so much clearer i could cry.
