there's been the occasional tom's farms visit or two.
& random mall ventures.
of course there's been pool escapades.
& many excuses made to meet up for in-n-out & ice cream.
malia's turning 5 soon! 5!!! that's just craziness!
my mom goes back to school next week, so of course
we've had to get a few more lunch dates in!
& get this, after 50+ years of life,
i've finally taught my mom how to use a digital camera!
will wonders ever cease? this was her very first attempt. nice, mom!
you see, it was super important that she learned to use my camera
because she was taking a&e to their very first tea party ever!

all in all, this summer has been a lot of fun, fun, fun,
but i am sooooo ready for winter!

i know, i know, there's at least a good 3 months left before we get any sort of summer relief. it just feels good to imagine the fall, winter months on the horizon,
so i'll keep daydreaming.

In the pic that your mom took of you, I need to know if that's a lamp shade. If so, that's a really REALLY cute lamp shade. Where did you get that?
I have to confess that I wear my hair with a braid to the side all the time...just like your daughters. Yikes.
ah gee! thanks! that's probably my most favorite thing in my entire house! no joke :) it's a lamp shade turned pendant from the lovely orlakiely.com! it was a gift from my mom for my bday! i could never pay that for a dang lampshade, believe me you! =D makes me happy everyday though, so it was well worth it! haha! (justify, justify)
fun summer times, but amen on summer taking a boot scoot and letting winter in! Too dang hot here already summer, sheesh!
