a letter to my girls.

dear audrey,

i've been meaning to write you a letter for awhile now. you are 2.4 years old (ha), and time is flying by way too fast. i made this blog for you and your sister when you turned one years old. i see it as an online baby book that will be around forever :) i hope one day you can sit down and look through each post, remembering your childhood. lately, you have been cracking me & your daddy up! you are so full of life and energy. you love to dance, and color on my walls! :) then you say, "naughty, naughty!" as i write, you are tapping my arm asking me for more "chocky" (chocolate)...man, do you love your candy! i've always noticed that you are my "figure outer." ellie just hands me the chocolate kiss and has me unwrap it, you want to figure it out yourself. and you do...it may take you longer, but you figure it out! i love that about you. you are so laid back & fun! and lately, you are showing more affection for your sister. you make sure she has the same thing you have, and you give it to her first. if you get your baby, you make sure to get ellie's and give it to her. you always say, "here, ella." (you call your sister, ella. i love it.) hmmm, what else...you are still very into your baby. you are such a good lil' mother! your favorite show right now is lil' bill :) oh, and you call me molly. what's up with that? i love you very much, and even though it makes me sad to think that you're slowly losing your baby fat cheeks, i want to always remember this year forever. you are two...and my heart smiles when you say cheese, close your eyes, and flash me your daddy's smile.

dear ellie,

you are my little firecracker...you know what you want and when you want it. i love that about you, even though it needs a lil' tweaking! :) you are kind, and you love people! you are definitely more independent than your sister, and more outgoing...at least for now. you are so happy all the time, and you love to sing and dance. you & audrey will sing into anything that looks like a microphone! and you love dance parties with your daddy! you are also my "concentrator!" you will get this look in your eyes while you stack blocks as high as you can! audrey doesn't have the patience and will just come and knock them down! you clap for yourself when they get super high! too cute :) right now you are laying on the floor with your sister, watching my least favorite show, gabba gabba. :/ you are holding hands and rolling on top of each other laughing! it is so neat to watch the bond that you two have...i pray you are the bestest of friends. every morning i wake up to you yelling, "mama, are youuuu?" it is the best sound in the world. i love you miss ellie, very much.
