my papa is closer to heaven than he's ever been. he was a well-loved father, grandpa, and great-grandpa! we will miss him so much, but we pray he goes quickly, in God's timing! he said it himself, he is ready to go home! i can only imagine what it will be like to stand face to face with God! and papa gets to meet his Maker very soon! i love you papa, and cherish every last second i got to spend with you! kiss ganny for me!!*update* papa went to heaven early this morning (thur)! he will be greatly missed. it hurts so bad, but we know he is dancing on streets of gold right about now :) thank you for all of your prayers...

Molly I'm crying tears of joy with you right now. Joy in knowing that your Papa is in Heaven and reunited with his wife. Of all the pictures that I have seen of him he is always smiling this big jolly smile. Make sure you hold onto the peace that he is now with our Maker and free from any earthly pain or suffering.

Just stopped by. I'm so sorry. Your grandfather sounds like a great man. You wrote such a sweet and simple tribute. It's wonderful to think that he is in heaven with your Ganny. My grandmother is going on hospice care tomorrow. Honestly, I hadn't even gotten to the point of thinking of her in heaven - I guess everything has just been so overwhelming. Thank you for reminding me. I think I'll just linger here for a little while listening to the beautiful music. I'll say a prayer for your family.

Oh Molly, I'm so sorry for you loss! I know how amazingly precious grandparents are! It makes my heart just rejoice to know that he's in heaven and that you and your family can be comforted by that! What a hope we have in our Lord!

thank you all so much for your kind words! it is SO GOOD to know it's not goodbye forever! i've been reminded with a new heavenly perspective on life! this world is not my home :) my true home is with the Lord...and my papa is already there! it's hard to wrap my mind around, but it's so amazing! my hope is in HIM!! love you guys! xo

Hi Molly....sorry to hear about you losing your grandpa--I know that that loss is hard even though you know he is with Jesus. I'm glad that he didn't linger here in misery too long and that he is with your ganny now.
