in need of some happy.

this last week has been long and trying to say the least. with tim working three jobs, i have had many breakdowns lately...let's just say the girls know my weak spots now. so yesterday, after tim got all his "stuff" done, we decided we were in need of some happy, and what's happier than the happiest place on earth?
so, we had to make a pit-stop at kinkos before we left...and wouldn't ya know, a stinkin' trash truck hits us pretty good and hard, knocking us into the middle of the intersection!! thankfully we are all okay, but my car has seen better days...
while i wanna scream out, "can someone just throw us a freakin' bone?" and wallow in thoughts of why me? and when will we ever catch a break?, i know that God is STILL sovereign and good to us...always has been, always will be...and i am so beyond grateful for life. i mean, this is the first time my girls were in the car during an accident...and we all don't have a scratch on us! as i write, they are cracking up at each other behind me! it's funny how things get put back into perspective when you're shaken up by an accident. when i am weak, God is still strong! they can have my piece of metal on wheels, but they can't have me!

anyhoo, we still managed to get to disneyland! after a quick stop at tim's fire station, we made it just in time for the light parade! the girls were in awe, and audrey waved at every character that rode by!

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Cor 12:9-10)

AMEN to that!

Oh Molly! I gotta tell you that this evening I was having one of "those nights." I've got Kevin working three jobs, and when he's home he's doing more work, and...well, you of all people can understand! Emma was so grumpy and whiney today, and she just went to sleep (10:45). Anyways, thanks for the Blog! I love pictures of your beautiful family, and I appreciate just knowing that there is another human being out there who understands! God is good and sometimes I just have to take a step back and remind myself of just how blessed I am. And now I really wanna take my babies to Disneyland! Love you!
