well blog friends, we did it. we made the crazy journey to indio to visit melinda.

yeah, that's her school picture from 6th grade, the year we met. she'll kill me for putting that on here. shhhhhhh.

tim took me the crazy mountain way which was no bueno, but once we got over that darn never ending hill, it was smooth sailing. first, we ate at cheesecake factory! yes! and then, we let the girls run a muck wherever the heck they wanted. good times. we ended up at a bookstore where we read lots of books (ha!) and took lots of pictures. we ended the evening around 10pm with some ice cream, a hello to good ol' steve, and a tear. i love melinda SO SO much! seriously, we have the best time together, ALWAYS!! oh, and a huge plus, audrey woke up at noon today! 12 NOON! ellie woke up at 10. that just tells you how much fun they had!
